European Youth Table Tennis Championships
European  Youth Table Tennis Championships will be hosted in Sochi from 2nd to 5th February of 2017.
112 best athletes* under the age of 21 from 35 countries will compete at modern hall of Iug-Sport complex, the biggest facility for preparation of professional athletes in Southern Russia.
56 men and 56 women will compete in singles and doubles. One member association will be allowed to have no more than 3 men and 3 women participants.
The tournament will be the scene for top-notch players such as Anton Kallberg (Sweden), Tomislav Pucar (Croatia), Darko Jorgic (Slovenia), Sadi Ismailov (Russia), Andreea Dragoman (Romania), Adina Diaconu (Romania) and Maria Malanina (Russia).
Doubles events will be played in a direct knockout competition. In singles there are will be two group stages before the Round 16, the first knockout phase.

February 1st – Official draw
February 2nd – Opening ceremony
February 2nd-5th – Games
February 5th – Medal ceremonies and final press conference
Organizing Committee is sure that upcoming European Youth Championships will be a huge success for both European and Russian table tennis communities. Russia continues its great tradition of hosting major table tennis tournaments. The last one, European Championships took place in Yekaterinburg from 25th September to 4th October 2015. Young athletes will have an amazing opportunity to test their skills and show their will to win in the capital of 2014 Olympic Games.
